Spy literature, what’s true, what’s fiction and who wrote what.
Years ago I was foolish enough to mention that I enjoyed reading le Carre novels, by foolish I mean I exposed myself to some ridicule from an expert in the espionage field, this was the gentleman who so skillfully exposed secret writing on the Boxall Rubaiyat.
Nevertheless I though that since that inglorious day I’ve accumulated quite a library of espionage titles, both fictional and true and thought, well why not list the authors here, maybe some readers might take up the habit, because believe me, there is a lot to learn in their works.
In no particular order. (Note: these are just some of the authors I’ve read.)

Glad you came in from the cold Bozo, took Byron longer to see behind Cramer’s light with three switches and picked the dud? I’ve Just taken delivery of a well read Le Carre (2 bucks) , Agent Running in the Field circa. 2019. Must have been his last or damn near to it

Is it me, or does John Le Carrie have a resemblance to a certain inhabitant of a Washington DC; White House?
Robert Harris’s “Fatherland” is quite a sobering story of what might have been, still read it a couple of times a year.

How observant Clive. Was thinking the same, that’s Barack bin Obama without the tan. Have you heard that Greenland’s new owner has determined that it’s unwelcome Inute inhabitants must be ressttled in Iceland or risk Ice attack.

I wonder if Trump is Bi-Polar?

You have to admire Trump’s business nous. He’s grabbed Venezuela’s oil, grabbed the country in fact and has no intention of paying its debts, mostly because they’re owed to Russia and China, not only that, he’s banking the oil proceeds in Qatar so America’s creditors can’t get their hands on it.

So Trumpet’s decided not to persue his claims on Greenland nor raise tarrifs against most ungrateful NATO allies including USA’s former enemies Germany and Italy (he forgot the rest). Why the sudden change of direction on the very eve of his assention to his Icy Kingdom of polar regions?. The ghost of Jeffery Epstein be adequate grounds. I’d say every European leader attending the Davos World Eco. dig, had taken along their own collection compromising sensual photos of the Don in the act of flagrant delicto with Euro maiden minors during his state visits to their countries.

Hidden cameras? Western lies! Except for the Kremlin’s private cinema now showing “Don Trump Juan”.

Follet (two tees) was indeed little flowery bit like Feltus, but he too was able to blend a degree of historically correct fact plus some funny ecounters with real characters and histerical fiction.

Guess my horrendous spelling leaves some folks in the dark, and I’m sorry if that be so. No excuses, however I’m often frustrated by not being given time nor means to go over my work in order to correct any unforced errors. I make no apolgies for my likewise atrocious grammar, as where I came from we never needed none. Just like Malay & Vietnamese of which I’m adept and get along fine without such nonsense. js
