Spy literature, what’s true, what’s fiction and who wrote what.
Years ago I was foolish enough to mention that I enjoyed reading le Carre novels, by foolish I mean I exposed myself to some ridicule from an expert in the espionage field, this was the gentleman who so skillfully exposed secret writing on the Boxall Rubaiyat.
Nevertheless I though that since that inglorious day I’ve accumulated quite a library of espionage titles, both fictional and true and thought, well why not list the authors here, maybe some readers might take up the habit, because believe me, there is a lot to learn in their works.
In no particular order. (Note: these are just some of the authors I’ve read.)

Glad you came in from the cold Bozo, took Byron longer to see behind Cramer’s light with three switches and picked the dud? I’ve Just taken delivery of a well read Le Carre (2 bucks) , Agent Running in the Field circa. 2019. Must have been his last or damn near to it

Have a shot at Slough House by Mick Herron, Jackson Lamb speaks your language, plus he farts in company and is a very rude individual.
