The Somerton Man .. 
Don’t know the TV series where Claire’ plays the noted coroner, but I’m ready to give her a stab at Somerton Man. Know what they say,, “what’s good for the goose …..” can’t recall the rest AT will fill in the gap I reckon.

Claire was in uk tv series “The Coroner”, interesting that SA’s very own coroner, Whittle, steps down on 31 Aug 2026.

“Police Commissioner Grant Xtevens accuses State Coroner of acting unlaw over secret police files (Tamam Shudder?).Coroner Whittle ha vehemently rejected the assertion saying the court’s authority trumps police secret laws…” That was reported on 22 June in Adelaide Now so no wonder that he’s being terminsted before his six year tenure is up. Struth looks like we might have to wait a little longer for answers.

It’s all about the suicide of Sergeant Nash in 1921.

Trouble is Peteb, we have a NSW police constable Nash who offed himself in 1921 at Hurstville; and then we have a police bandsman Nash who did something similar in 2021. Seems to be some current problems between Sapol and our busy bee Coroner Whittle re the latter apparently.

Hurstville Nash was 1935 and Const. Allen Nash was in the fifties but seems he maybe got dead in a gun fight.

Cleland might’ve gaven us the answer when he said that the Linen thread was examined microscopically.Seems they tried on the clobber in Dudley Aebi’s forensic laboritory wherever that was. Can’t imagine the railway cloak room unless it was pre 19/1/49 and not Sapol evidence storeage facility at CIB Angas Street with Cowan present.

Unless Dud’s lab was mayhaps somewhere other than CIB, but still only two moves for mine. Can”t think of any other likely stops on the way to the evidence lock-up.
