A question for Gordon Cramer
Gordon, I know you are reading here as I do your blog .. and talking about methods, as you have done below, could you describe what ‘method’ you used to expose micro-writing in the code, remembering all you had to work with was a photo of an inked up photo of a ‘faintly pencilled code’ which was only made clearly visible for DS Leane with the assistance of a ‘large magnifying glass’. The book itself was never in your possession.
I’ve asked this question of you before but you didn’t respond then, perhaps you might now.

Without the original unmarked photo of the code, looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack would be a better option.

Looks like Cramer is unable to respond, perhaps his new admin tech wingman might put his hand up, after all, I’m just asking him to describe the method he used, I’d like to read and follow it, just as he suggested.
It’s not as if I want him to post his response here, just to put it up on his own site would be fine.

There appears to be only one conclusion why Cramer won’t respond – he can’t explain in clear terms what were the processes he used to expose the (alleged) micro-writing in the Rubaiyat code.

Note that dingo baiter Jo is back on the trail with her Charles Webb the cross dresser theory that proliferated amongst the believers for a while. She doesn’t seem to be withdrawing her latest claims of Dingo Nick Pelling being, in effect, a cowardly Traitor.

Think it was Pelling and Jo that pushed the theory that Carl Webb was gay, presumption being based on his assumed friendship with likes of theatre performer Hickey Taylor and a popular post war alternate show group ‘The Kiwis’. For mine I can’t think of one scintilla of evidence suggesting any such thing, certainly not in the fellow’s little known lifestyle; same goes for our Somerton Man by his straight attire and contents of the suitcase (packed by Daphne & Orlando).

Hey fair go Bozo. Me dad was wearing one just like when he left us. Mother wanted him buried in it but as it transpired the lousy RSL would only put up for an el cheapo dead digger’s cremation. I got me mits on the dressing gown with its fancy whorl pattern on the sleeves, his almost new Casben swimmers plus his army flash Khaki dress safari uniform. Bloke was no ‘horses hoof’ let me assure you. I got an intriguing true story of what became of the black plastic cremation box with his??? ashes and the most uncanny outcome thereof, back of Bourke NSW on the Murray a decade or so thereafter, if anyone be interrsted that is?

Then there was Ross William Miell of Karoonda SA who did get his record digitised. Ross was a mate of my dad, a brave soldier and veteran of campaigns in Greece, Crete and Tobruk. He was 2/3 Commando’s first casualty after arrival in PNG 2/2/43. No point to make but, have a look on NAA and see what a greattul country sent home to mum in Tailem Bend. If that’s all the Army could manage regarding personal effects of a dead digger, it’s a disgrace.

Know yous are all busy with SM research, so to save valuable time. Inventory of Pte Miell’s effects sent home to mum July ’43: Mirror Steel in Case, Comb, Pen Knife, Chain, Coins Forein 2, Knife…Mrs. Miell signed for receipt thereof and returned it to Area Records Wayville forthwith.
