A timely reiteration ..
According to SAPOL’s Media and Public Engagements Section (123) in an email dated 1/12/23 we were advised as follows:
1/ The DNA work on the Somerton Man’s remains was recently completed.
2/ An analysis of these results will be reported to the State Coroner in the final (SAPOL) report.
3/ Completed Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Odontology reports will also be reported to the State Coroner in the final (SAPOL) report.
4/ Together with the results of some outstanding forensic analysis which will be completed soon.
5/ The final (SAPOL) report will be made available to the State Coroner in early 2024.

To me, all the evidence says it was a cold war crime

Doubt that your evidence, whatever it might entail would likely sway the coroner, if it ever got that far, chances of which be a big fat F… Hall.

without the evidence in the coroner’s report in appendices what have you got an opinion?
The other reports don’t show the evidence. It may be a pointless wait.

I thought to share this with you: the redoubtable but seriously confusing Gordon Cramer can be quoted as saying in a comment on his most recent head-measuring post that the reason not many folks are clicking on the Coroner’s website here is because knowing what the Coroner’s report will say is ‘will do nothing for them’
Maybe he should get someone to measure his own head, let out a bit of superfluous hot air, know what I mean?

I distinctly recount Gordon Dreamer telling his minions some time back of his having been called in to assist the Coroner’s office in their deliberations. Can’t recall exactly when or what was being lied about at the time but it would have been a huge boost to his self esteem. I guess it’s deleted now along with a good deal of his other dated claptrap though you must admit GC’s stance on Pavel Fedisimov being SM has not wavered since MM gave him the false lead all those dreary years ago.

Behrooz over at CM kindly reminds us that it is one thing to understand the timing of the submission of the SAPOL report (early 2024) and another to have the patience to wait for the coroner to complete his ruling.

May have changed the rules but, in my time, having regard to adjourned inquests (sine die), it was incumbant upon the new coroner to reconvene, as opposed to coming to a decision off his own bat. ie., going by protocols of calling witnesses, hearing new evidence and making a determination if any, based on the combined factors be they new or old. gonner take years mate.

Sounds ominious sorta like a death sentence. Who knows with David in the Coroner’s job. They don’t call him ‘jet’ (fast mover) Whittle for nothing. Perhaps I spoke in the negative too soon.
