Two things about the code
The first thing of course is the deliberate placing of the letter A in the seventh slot in every line of over seven letters, this is old news I know, but there’s another thing. Why did the person responsible for writing the code disguise this symmetry ?
But first you’ll have to figure out how it was done.

Interesting that some of the A’s have a horizontal bar extending past the RHS.

My killer question is, Clive, why did whoever deliberately use the 7 times 7 A code, which it appears to be the case, disguise it by using line by line blank spaces, crossed out lines of letters and various other means to draw the eye from it.
Or maybe it was one of the lads in SAPOL having a laugh ..

Could well be that some lads at SAPOL decided to ‘add their own changes’. I suppose a question is why was the letter A in the 7th position on each line bar one? Why not the first letter A on the first line or, the first letter A on the fourth line?
On another point-why, on the third line do the letters I and M look as if they were an afterthought, and squeezed in between the letters B and P?
