It appears that Gordon Cramer has examined an entry in Bob Wake’s diary where Wake mentions Gordon Olive, his full name being Charles Gordon Chaloner Olive, and rashly concluded he was referring to GORDON Strapps and OLIVE Neill, the two witnesses who observed the Somerton Man lying against the sea wall on the evening of November 30th. As if that isn’t bad enough, he resolutely refuses to acknowledge his mistake by amending his post.

The Somerton Man .. 
Stirling work indeed Steve H and a surprising accolade from his pomfretship Nick Pelling. Actually Nick, Cramer v Cramer was my own initiative and refers to the split between the married couple Gordon and Isobel towards the end of the last centuary. Here’s one similar to the Gordon/Olive conundrum and is at least an active inquiry. Refers to T.O. Jones of Harley Surgical who wrote a glowing testimonial for Jim C. Crick on his work record prior to RAAF entry in 1942. I can’t identify the man from those details, although I have at least succeeded in obtaining his last known address circa. 1952, plus initials for his then spouse Mrs. H. I. Jones of 235 Doncaster Rd. Nth. Balwyn Vic. I think they may have been Poms but nothing is certain in this game. Up to you Steph, Clive, and if yous score, I’ll consider dropping la femme gender references for a while.

Steve H could have made an even bigger hit by comparing Wing Cmdr. Chasser Chaloner DFC, RAF spitfire ace with his once Sqn. chum from ‘battler briton’ days Sqn. Ldr. Robert Bungey DFC of Tarlton St. Somerton. Bob was my man that nobody wanted to know. He shot his son Richard, then his dog Bomber before swallowing his service Webley on Somerton beach below Alvington steps in June 1943. Papers say Nth. Brighton though Const. Moss carried the wounded bub to CCH it being closeby. Dick recovered and his book Spitfire Leader tells the sad story. Oh and by the way Steve missed my pun regarding her current misguided interest in new Beaumont suspect Bob Cotton, vis brer Peter Cotton Tail with an i which she missed happily. Score one for dirty dusty.

I guess it be in order to offer Mr. Cramer a narrow corridor for escaping the Troll accusations piling up for him jumping into the deep end by tagging communists Gordon & Olive over C Gordon C. Olive DFC OBE. We should be prepared to accept an insanity plea or not guilty through ignorance in that the aforesaid W/C Olive (not a popular choice) spent the last twenty one years of his RAAF active service life involved with youth cadet progams which, at a pinch, could lead a born loser into confusing Youth Air Cadets with Eureka Youth League. You all happy with that? makes flapper Pelling and his bum buddy look foolish.

Steve H needs to be made aware that the contributors on the sites that he’s been commenting on unfavorably comprise a majority of deviants who get their thrills discussing blood and guts, particularly when it relates to kids like the Beaumonts who fortunately don’t fit the agenda they being alive and well by my reckoning. I wonder if the Big Footy fools be at all knowing that Nancy Helen their current ripe target for attack had once been engaged to a Bronte Mourilyan S., wool classer by trade who was from a rather well heeled original SA squatter family. He had been RAAF in WW2 and around ’48 eventually married a repatriation nurse from country Victoria, puting down roots in Nth Glenelg, close by kith & kin. Y’man was no goody two shoes going by his apprension in 1940 on information laid by his dad Cleve, and he did time for theft in ’44 while in service. Post war he worked as a salesman, a suburban meter reader for town gas and dabbled in real estate rentals. Check him out on SA geni.

Yep that’s right my man Bronte the wool classer hailed from Curramulka nth west SA where the Snoz clan had their large grazing property and he knew where all the vacant shearers huts were located in late January. His brother John Cleveland still farmed there and had been a star footy player in the district until hitching up with pretty Doff Bacon mid fifties. The family moved east in 1970 with help from Glenelg based Cleve Snr., a gas board hot shot, to settle on a CSIRO developement where they remained; inlaws from Somerton Park moved in with them. I dare say Bronte, as a meter reader would have been familiar with the new working class sub division off Diagonal Rd. and no doubt 109 Harding St. where his former fiance Nancy and her young family had settled in 1960 or there abouts. Interesting story Peteb, wonder it hasn’t been elaborated on by Steve H to date.

Hear tell Pickled Pelling and Diane O’Donovan are under threat of imminent takeover by the Yellow Peril (no offence intended) out of China, or is that Chinese Taipei cross the bay. Would put a different slant (noi) on our ongoing Somerton Man identification chances, if’n y’man turns out to be an Oriental, after all the bru ha ha of late re racial slurrs

“Only posts if you agree with him”. There lives a ‘man’ in a White House in Washington DC who has the same mentality i.e. only believes he is 100% correct and, that everything/everybody else is either a hoax or fake news, regardless of what of what ‘Joe Public’ may think.

Not withstanding the self assertive gentleman of the White house having transformed it’s former glory into a shite house, said gentleman could learn a thing or two about blowing ones own TRUMPet from likes of Mr. C. Gordon Cramer, regardless of what his anonymous followers may think.

Cramer insists Bob Wake was shadowing Gordon Strapps and Olive Neill, both being members of the Eureka Youth League, supposedly, but given there must have been hundreds of members of the league on the east coast, it’s not remotely feasible that he would have an interest in just these two – not only that, but noting them in his diary by their first names and not using surnames.
It’s just another example of Cramer making faulty conclusions, and what’s worse is that he WILL NOT ALLOW any comments that question his writings.
