the 2025 Who Knew What About The Somerton Man Great Race. The 5th and final scoring round is in.

Who was the first to realise certain pertinent facts about the Somerton Man case?

For instance …

RACE 1 – Who was the first to twig the striped trousers?

RACE 2 – Who was the first to take note of the PC Moss newspaper (no matches on the body) interview? And thank you Barry Traish.

RACE 3 –  who was the first to notice the 3 inch height discrepancy between the Somerton Man (5’11”) and Carl Webb (5’8”)?

RACE 4 – Who was the first to notice the deliberate placement of the capital letter A in all of the lines of over 7 letters in the code?

To find out we compare and rate the records of the following individuals.

PELLING

1 – No score, the great researcher failed to read the inquest records in proper detail.

2 – No score, another lost opportunity, pity that. Probably can’t read Australian, or won’t.

3 – No score. Again.

4 – No score. Despite being an acclaimed cryptographer, and despite examining said code for many years, Pelling missed the bleeding bloody obvious, as did his cohort of like minded code-breakers. Laugh? Did we what. Still chuckling now.

CRAMER

1 –  No score, though he did come in late and half-baked.

2 – No score, the article should have been written in micro-code you reckon?

3 – No score. For a bloke who reckons he can read micro-writing you’d reckon spotting a three inch height difference between two individuals would be a doddle. It wasn’t, and coming in late again doesn’t count old bean.

4 – No score. Another self-proclaimed decoding expert shown up as not having the ability to see the obvious. Most disappointing.

ALAN H

1 – No score, needs to concentrate.

2 – No score, let’s hope he shows some late form.

3 – No score. We were hoping for more, Al.

4 – No score, and we believe Alan has left the building.

FELTUS

1 – – No score, with great respect.

2 – No score, but still in with a chance.

3 – No score. Retired hurt.

STEVE H

1 –  No score, could be the early start of a rapid decline.

2 – No score, and this bloke’s supposed to be a thoroughbred?

3 – No score. Were thinking he shouldn’t even be in the race.

4 – No score. Seems like a waste of a good education here. He must be bitterly disappointed coming in on the same score as Dusty, like zero.

SANDERS aka DUSTY

1 – No score, but there’s hope for the future.

2 – No score, stamina is looking suspect.

3– No score. Unattractive runner, started at 5:1, now blown out to 500:1

4 – No score by four. Talk about dusty.

CLIVE

1 –  No score, but bred for pace, shows promise.

2 – No score, but we know he’s a stayer.

3 – No score. Strong in the shorter races, not so good here.

4 – No score. We had high hopes for this runner, now dashed.

ABBOTT

1 – No score, even though the bloke had a dozen students doing all his work.

2 – No score, needs to get his head out of the newspapers … ironic eh?

3 – No score. Seems completely disinterested in racing. There are suspicions he has put big money on another runner.

4 – No score. And the man’s a PROFESSOR?

and now, with the greatest of pleasure, we announce the winner.

BOZO

1 – 10 out of 10. Showing great form early.

2 – 10 out of 10. Looking like championship material.

10 READ THE ABOVE – 10 out of 10 again.

10 – 10 out of 10 YET AGAIN!  The bloke’s a genius.

  1. Apologies, I haven’t left the building, just doing some repairs to the foundations, always have been a bit wobbly.

I submitted a decryption of “The Code” to a decryption person for an opinion but got crickets as big as the cicadas in our yard, but without the noise.

Would your supporters care to offer opinion on the “Code” resolution please?

Don’t read anything into it. It’s just simple instructions to take the Overland train to Adelaide

The level crossing X on the train line above the letter O to illustrate Overland is all you need to see

GC has come up with a startling discovery that removes all doubt
