A recent Victorian precedent for coronial identification of skeletal remains via forensic genetic genealogy. Colleen Fitzpatrick was involved in this case – the identification of a 1928 drowning victim, Gippsland farmer Christopher Luke Moore.

And the one-legged Patrick James Durham’s work had been obtaining convictions using palm prints since 1932, but this was another method not utilised to identify SM.
