Be brave .. answer this challenge.

Can anyone prove beyond doubt that the Freeman Rubaiyat ever existed? Hearsay must be considered unacceptable.

And as a helpful reminder, the widely accepted pic (image) of what was alleged to be the Freeman Rubaiyat was dismissed by Gerry Feltus as being a copy supplied to the press by persons unknown, but suspected to be the police involved in the investigation.

As to why they would do that when it was alleged they had the original might raise some doubts amongst the outliers, right David Morgan?

We all have outlier theories in some capacity.

My outlier is I believe the 2021 Karolinska report on the teeth of the Isdal Woman is seriously flawed and the expert scientists (Teglind, R.; Dawidson, I.;Balkefors, J.; Alkass, K.) didn’t engage their brain when they released the case 16 results.

    AI says:

The key details are: [teeth ages are decimal]

    • AAR analysis was performed on dentin from three teeth – 22, 24 and 25.
    • Teeth 24 and 25 gave similar estimated ages at death of 46.2 and 43.5 years respectively.
    • However, tooth 22 gave a much younger estimated age of only 25.7 years.

Normally, one would expect the AAR age estimates from different teeth in the same individual to be fairly consistent. It is unusual to see such a large discrepancy, with one tooth appearing over 20 years “younger” than the others.

    AI speculates:
Very speculatively, tooth 22 could theoretically be from a different individual than teeth 24 and 25, though this seems unlikely. The tooth 22 result appears to be an outlier that warrants further investigation.

This is the sort of investigation needed for the teeth of the Somerton Man. But take 2 from the top and 2 from the bottom and not 1 from the top and 2 from the bottom or vice versa.

When a Norwegian dental expert recently carried out X-ray analysis on the same teeth she said “younger than 30 older than 25”. Is that 27.5? Did she take 2 from the top and 1 from the bottom?

My bigger Schrödinger’s Isdal Woman ‘outlier’ answer is she was the 26 year old American Woman from the police evidence. Evidence she was alive after 1970 was fabricated by various people – including helped by the police. Now that does sound really crazy! But in an era of children learning handwriting styles and girls particularly adept at learning such skills she didn’t learn the Palmer method of handwriting.
“girls tend to have better fine motor skills and boys better gross motor skills”

So what? For me it points to a large absence from school up to age 11 and she wasn’t a truant as her dad was on the school board. She never learnt to write “Palmer”.

If we look at the Webb family signatures – Carl and Roy and other Webbs on NAA we see a consistency. Children all taught to write. All in school up to age 11 and during handwriting skills weeks or months.

The American woman’s grandmother Christina ‘Dahl’ died in a serious accident when she was aged 6. “I believe” she was in that car crash and saw her grandmother’s head being chopped off. She may have imagined the oil truck caught fire in a huge explosion and she may have lost consciousness. She too suffered serious facial/dental injuries which made her speak with a strange lisp for the rest of her life. I believe aged about 11 dentists started to reconstruct her teeth using gold fillings, bridges etc. They waited until her wisdom teeth were available as anchor points and added gold crowns to them.

She later trained as an occupational therapist helping people recover after serious surgery or injury. But “I believe” like Carl Webb her intellect was far higher than those around her. An undiscovered child genius who lived a fantasy life on her dad’s farm recovering from injury.

I believe “against the alternative evidence -I discovered” – she lost her job in Vermont in early 1970 and a chain of events started with her ending up in Stavanger on the 17th November 1970 staying in both a hostel and a hotel. Running two lives. Religious Lutheran nice girl in the hostel and drinking and picking up men in the hotel.

Dennis Zacher Aske in his book Kvinnen i Isdalen says about the Isdal Woman “You also do not want the hotel to know your true identity. It is also said that this should be important for the prostitute herself to be able to distinguish between her real self and the role she plays as an “escort girl”.

    Though he also believed:
“Half an hour before midnight, the sheriff’s officer in Gvarv calls and states that the family has received a postcard from the American woman. It is postmarked in Linköping, Sweden on Friday 27 November, two days before the body was found. Øverland informs the police in Bergen immediately. [American Woman’s name] no longer seems relevant.”

So imagine if your family proved you were alive in court with a postcard you had sent 2 days before a body was found and your neighbour said the body was you – and the court didn’t ask to talk with you on the phone or in person. What sort of lawyer training did Aske have that he didn’t want actual proof she was alive? For his other suspect he phoned South Africa – repeatedly.

The police, NRK,BBC, Aske ..and many others have never had a conversation with the American woman they believe is STILL alive in Seattle.

My evidence [from police]: On the 18th of November 1970 a woman leaves the St Svithun hotel with one large suitcase. The taxi driver takes her to the hydrofoil. But she can’t board without a ticket so she returns to the kiosk to buy one. The taxi driver doesn’t observe what happens next.

On the 18th of November 1970 the American woman arrived on the hostel with a 2nd suitcase (a larger one) than she arrived with on the 17th accompanied by a Stavanger train station porter. She now has two suitcases in the hostel. On the 19th she has a hydrofoil ticket to Bergen.

On the 19th of November a woman arrives with two suitcases in the Hordaheimen hotel. The same suitcases found in the Bergen train station locker. Identical to the ones described by hostel staff who identify the American Woman as the body [all in police evidence].

“Rørtvedt also remembers the woman who bought the rubber boots. He estimates her age to be around 25 years. When the woman returned the next day to buy the boots, it was Kvamsøe who dispatched her: “She seemed a little sad or maybe shy, spoke little and spoke English or American.”

What I am saying is as an ‘outlier’ and if you can present a good case you can eventually win through to become the central idea. Dr Palmer-Benbow never got to be proved right with his outlier theory that the Pyjama Girl was Anna Philmena Morgan. But I believe it will be only a matter of time. Perhaps in 5 years an ‘Australian AI cold case police investigator’ will suddenly declare the Pyjama Girl was Anna Pilomena Morgan.

We just need to see strong evidence for outliers on the Somerton Man. Though I believe it is a lost cause.

When you lose your job in the next 5 years you can reflect back on:

“No One – the maths: AI = BS”

“200 years ago, Luddites were trying to sabotage steam-powered cotton looms which they believed to be a mortal threat to their livelihoods.”

“However, AI is different in that it challenges not only our employment but also our human identity. It’s no longer about machines taking over certain difficult tasks, but replacing us altogether.”

Nvidia CEO “I believe that you still want humans in the loop, because we have good judgement“. The tech company has harnessed the A.I. boom to become the first chipmaker to break the trillion-dollar mark, as its graphics processing units are integral to the operation of generative A.I. platforms.

He acknowledged that the new technology will make many jobs obsolete.

Huang introduced an A.I. platform through which “everyone can be a programmer.” Called DGX GH200, the technology can produce code from natural language prompts.

Last night on BBC news a guy developing AI says when he is interviewed by buying companies – ‘not what can it do, but how many people will it replace”.

I used AI to convert a pdf from the Pyjama Girl Inquest to a machine searchable/readbale format. The asked it quetions

AI worked this out on its own from a file:

    UNRIDDLE:

Yes, there was a disagreement between the dentist named O’Brien and Francis Herbert Jackson. O’Brien insisted that he filled the first upper right molar of the deceased, despite other dentists, including Jackson, stating that there was no such tooth in the corpse. O’Brien maintained his stance even when presented with the official chart and the corpse itself, leading to a conflict of opinions [12].

Just like it worked out the flaws in the Karolinska report for the Isdal Woman.

If the inquest/corner’s files for the Somerton Man were machine readable it would read those as well.

I can do the same with Feltus and AI can show the flaws in his logic on the Somerton Man. Watch this space…

That being so, I’m afraid I must regard any more such responses from you as being the reflexive tremors of someone lost in an abyss of unregulated thought.

    PB,

You need this level of science for the Somerton Man. You need a Karolinska report on his teeth. Otherwise you are guessing. Then isotope analysis to show where he was prior to death. Hair analysis will go back 6 months I believe. He may have been in another country. SAPOL should be doing this stuff not waiting for amateurs like Abbott and see where the mud sticks.

The SA Police took a photo of the back cover of the book handed in by Freeman and said to have the faint markings of code and two phone numbers. Of course there’s no way to prove that the book photographed was the Rubaiyat or handed in by Freeman… but why put so much extra spin on it if it was all some concocted lie made up to tie together a planted TS script and the book of poems with a code??

If you’re going to make up a ruse, wouldn’t you want to keep it as simple as possible! Dispose of (bury or cremate) the body ASAP, don’t embalm him, keep him in the chiller for 6 months, make a plaster bust.
