I had a Dream: what if the DNA test has already confirmed Charlie Webb in NOT the Somerton Man.
The Somerton Man’s body was exhumed in May 2021, since then we’ve had May 2022 and May 2023 and in seven months we will have had May 2024.
And what was world-wide news in May 2021 is now an item of little or no interest, this despite the delay in officially confirming the identity of the Somerton Man as being Charlie Webb, the inexplicable delay, the confounding delay that apparently is of little newsworthy note … Not a whisper from the Rupert press in Adelaide, just an eerie newsroom silence.
So we can dream ~~~
What if the DNA tests have already been done and they confirmed the body was NOT that of Charlie Webb?
Gordon Cramer for one would be insufferable. His body-switch dream come true.
The entire investigation would be discredited, ditto the inquest and the sworn depositions submitted by Leane, Brown, Cleland and Cowan. Their reputations posthumously shredded. The SA justice system, the Clelands in general, SAPOL, all with their hands up and faces pressed against the wall … what a monstrous shitfight we would then have on our hands, a man would need elbow length rubber gloves to deal with it, not to mention a mask to combat the stink.
The finding of the TS slip? Out the window. Ditto the alleged finding of the ROK by Pharmacist Freeman. All the fastidious stitching of things together come undone. And Professor Abbott? A man would almost feel sorry for him, almost.
But what of young Jessica Harkness? If there was no ROK then there was no phone number, just an overwhelming and burgeoning knowledge that things were not what they appeared to be. Everything we have been fed a lie. Spies-R-Us would need to be revisited.
This dreamland scenario would be too good to be true, except for Cramer’s unmelodious and doubtless self-righteous claims, all loudly underscored by the I TOLD YOU SO trumpet blasts from his “leading, fact-based and authoritative blog on the Somerton Man Case,” but that’s best not to be thinking of right now.

We had a likely lad in Sydney back in the day, former Chief Magistrate Murray Farquhar who spent a lot of time at the races with the impeccably coiffed George Freeman, father of Greg who I meet irregularly on the beach these days.
Farquhar copped a four year stint for perverting the course of justice but managed to get out in 10 months. He was a regular drinker at the Bondi Diggers when I worked there as a barman. Not a tipper wasn’t Murray.

Speaking of dreams, sometime ago someone over in Pelling’s Playground mentioned a site calle dBrianDreams or similar where a psychic appears to have come up with the “Code Page” (in about 2013). Like anyone, I tend to be a bit very skeptical about this sort of thing, and it’s particularly odd that some of the quirks in different letters seem to transfer across (but equally, there’s some stark differences too). It’s a bit difficult to dig up, because the site seems to require membership, and the code to keep people out seems a bit buggy.
Some of the more interesting observations:
– he first letter is distinct from the rest of the line, but is clearly an M not a W
– MLIAOI is NOT crossed out
-The MLIABO line looks clearly split in 2, the one above it looks possibly split between M and P (and the first letter looks more like an N than anything)
– There’s an extra line (N SAM BIMP – or possible N 5AM BIMP)
The guy sometimes claims to have multiple messages on one page, but I’ll mention just in case….
– There’s a scribble on the page that appears to be an Asian Character on the RHS of the page
– there’s a “Hill 4161” at the bottom of the page
SO if you’re sick of the mainstream, maybe the psychic is of more help….

If I find out they had a secretary called Danetta I’ll take a closer look 🙂
