Counting the days .. updated from time to time

The number of days since the body was exhumed and I’m betting my $50 to your $1 SA Forensics won’t have a result by the 1,000 mark.

I had a Dream: what if the DNA test has already confirmed Charlie Webb in NOT the Somerton Man.

.. or, why have we been waiting two and a half years for SAPOL to come up with a result?

Years gone by and still waiting.

What is it with the South Australian Police Forensic outfit?

Is there something about the Somerton man’s DNA that is out of order?

Is there something about Professor Abbott’s claim that is a little suspect?

Years gone by and no official response.

Why are we waiting?

We’re done here … let’s admit it

And you lot have been legends … ok?

The phone rings …

‘We have a small problem.’

The Somerton Man code may well have been cracked.

Doubts, how they multiply.

The Somerton Man Code Has NOT been cracked

In order to ‘crack’ a secret code an individual claiming such a success must be able to interpret the code into an understandable text: a message, an instruction, a finding, a secret revealed. Something made plain.

This has yet to be demonstrated and any such claims that the code has been cracked cannot be accepted.

How doubt gives way to clarity ..

If we were to think the bloodstains found on the Somerton Man’s shirt (refer Cleland’s notes) were caused by cross contamination when he was laid out and undressed on uncleaned morgue trolly after its previous occupant had been removed and refrigerated …

and

.. if we were to believe this cross contamination included the hair embedded in SM’s bust …

.. and

if we were to believe the source of this cross-contamination of hair and blood belonged to Carl ‘Charlie’ Webb then we must acknowledge Webb must have died on or about November 30th and his unidentified body was transferred to the Adelaide morgue prior to the unidentified body of SM joining him.

Yes? No? Maybe?

… or perhaps it’s shades of Lawson’s ‘original body.’

Artificial Intelligence and Carl (Charlie) Webb.

AI has been in the news for a while, like blotting paper it has absorbed a million facts on a million subjects and can create beautifully crafted answers from this reservoir of stolen knowledge to answer obscure questions that have enabled many to pass tests and exams .. plagiarism is dead and teachers cannot keep up. Newspapers don’t know who to believe. We are being subjected to a confected knowledge that has no human authenticity.

But can AI provide an answer to this question?

Could this man ..

Grow into this man?

The objective here is to raise doubt.

The Somerton Man was exhumed on May 21, 2021

Something appears to be delaying the official identification of the Somerton Man, unlike Dr Colleen Fitzpatrick who with Professor Derek Abbott trumpeted their success in identifying him as Carl Webb back in July 2022, over a year ago.
