A strong case for the bleedingly obvious..
Look at all these happy faces, the closeness of this family, the obvious pride the two oldest have of the two youngest, the symmetry of their smiles, the symmetry of the three men’s height, all of them appearing to be about five foot eight, we know this from Roy’s war records (below) and the grandfather’s 1894 Victorian arrest sheet, a copy of which I seem to have lost.
I was astounded by the quickness of the responses from readers and their various reasons in explaining why Charlie appears to be the same height as the other two men when I first wrote about this some years ago. But how can the man claimed to be the Somerton Man be the same height as the other two men I asked, because he isn’t supposed to be.
So is it that the very obvious difference in height between the two grandparents – say three inches – cannot accurately be relied upon to demonstrate what should also be the differences in height between Charlie the Somerton Man and Roy, which is also three inches?
And if Charlie isn’t the Somerton Man, who is he?
And if he is who I think he is, it’s no wonder Stuart Webb has gone to ground.

Interesting that the name Keane appears on Roy’s will?

No. 1: Freda & Gerald Keane, 226 Glenlyon Road, East Brunswick, both signed the will as witnesses on 26 Dec 1940. His wife, Ruby Stella Webb, 52 Blackwood St, Carnegie was appointed as his executor. No mention of a Carl Webb.
Strange(?) that on his NAA record there is no mention of Roy Webb’s height.
So, if Roy didn’t die, as his NAA record shows, did the Keane’s supply him with clothes? Just me thinking what if……

The necktie doesn’t belong to Gerald Keane who is G Keane, and on the family tree shown by DA he is erroneously shown as Thomas G Keane, T Keane which is said to match the necktie
When we rectify that error and correct the family tree as Gerald Thomas Keane, we remove the necktie and remove Keane family as being any possible link to the Webb family
So we now we have shown that Carl Webb isn’t Somerton man

No, that’s been covered. He didn’t call himself Thomas Keane
There is no link with the necktie to Carl Webb by using Gerald Keane
So Carl Webb isn’t Somerton man

If you take Gerald Keane out of the link you take out all of the Webbs. Carl Charles Webb, Russell Richard Webb, Roy Webb, Charles Richard Webb. All of them. Because the necktie belongs to another person who is not in their family tree
