The DNA work on the Somerton Man’s remains was recently completed
Hi Peter,
Thanks for your query. Please find the following response from a police spokesperson:
“Since the exhumation of the remains of Somerton Man two years ago, SAPOL in partnership with the AFP and FSSA, have engaged with forensic specialists here, interstate and overseas to assist in the identification process. The DNA work on the Somerton Man’s remains was recently completed with analysis of these results to be reported to the State Coroner in the final report along with completed Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Odontology reports, and results of some outstanding forensic analysis that will be completed soon.
It is anticipated that the final report will be made available to the State Coroner in early 2024.”
Cheers.

I wonder just how “recently completed” and if DA is already in the know?

What’s the betting odds that the DNA from the body doesn’t match the DNA from the hair sample…and we’ve all spent the last couple of years chasing ourselves up our own arseholes with the “Webb connection”

If it was “recently completed”, like yesterday, would’ve leaked by now. GC will have the more detailed technical version of Peteb’s minor coup ready for release by tomorrow.

‘Overseas forensic specialists?’
Could this mean they are searching for DNA links in countries other than Australia? What countries? Is the Australian hair used by DA and Fitzpatrick in their DNA work suspect?
And when might we see a reaction on DA’s Facebook site .. ?

If the Carl Webb DNA is flagged as false
you’d search for DNA links to Kean in the US
Perhaps they’ve found one

No One: Perhaps that’s been the reason for the delay all along. The ‘powers that be’ have been looking overseas from the word go, I.e. in the USA for a missing Kean/e-why else look to overseas for help?

Can’t figure GC out. One day he’s using your shit for toothpaste; The next he’s back to his dispicable snide self with “Not much crowing from Mr B” (Anonymous naturally and no stops or ICs).

Fact is I’m just a modest kind of fellow despite that I beat every other bastard on the planet with the SAPOL update … asamatteroffact the enquiry I made was so felicitous the lovely lady who responded was almost overcome with admiration of my silky prose and depth of vocabulary.. plus I inserted a pic of George Clooney as me and captioned it with a big ‘hi babe.’
I could do lessons on this stuff.
Maybe I could do some work on Jo.

Jo: Safcol and Sapol are at times confused. Safcol be a top S.A. producer of ocean netted & canned seafood. Sapol being better known for it’s floundering about like fish out of water with no net gain in hooking the big fish but first rate when it comes to puting unlicenced crab trappers and beach combers in the can.

Anyone notice how quiet GC has been of late on pending release of forensic results confirming that Carl Webb is indeed SM. Folks following TS/BS will recall GC having admitted to being called to consult with Sapol and the Coroner’s office of late on a pro bono basis. So there can be little doubt he would have reacted to any inhouse rumours; hence a recent abatement of his past claims of there being marked physical disparity between the pair.

Forensic Science SA have advertised a job for their DNA Database Manager. Perhaps the reason for the delays with an ID is because there has been a vacancy in that key role.

Nah; reckon if the forensic team hold can off a little longer Derek will blow the whistle on his mates then they’ll all get to share the cost burden for taxpayer funding on the Carl Webb EM imposter sham. Glad we didn’t fall for it eh ?
