35 A loose end
We think the Somerton Man was a Russian agent.
And we think he was killed by the Allied side.
The agent arrived at the station early. He waited an hour before buying a ticket to the coast. He watched the train leave. An hour later he booked his suitcase, left the station, walked into the city and caught a bus.
Hours spent watching, looking over his shoulder, laying a false trail.
Watching for suspicious men.
Would he have left what they wanted at the station?
Or would he have carried it with him?
