Kaldor looks more like the plaster bust.

  2. ellen, trying to find the time to work on the image. I will be taking the spectacles away and adjusting the head angle to do a comparison with the bust and the 3D image.

Not sure about the “Eagle” bit, but I’ve had a few eyrie experiences!

  4. Who the hay is Kaldor? How did he ever come in the discussion? He doesn’t look a bit like SM. I guess we are at yet another dead end?

    • Geez Misca, what’s with all the negativity?

      August 24, 2016
  5. No negativity. It all sounds a bit stupid and unrelated to me. I see no physical or circumstantial connection. Nothing at all of interest. My opinion. Sorry.

    August 24, 2016
  6. If not agreeing with you = “negativity” so be it. This guy imo has nothing to do with SM. I see no resemblance whatsoever; no convincing connection either. I have kept an open mind with Mikkelsen despite not seeing a resemblance because of the research that prompted attention…I still don’t think SM is Mikkelsen but I can respect why one would think he could be. This new fellow, not so much. Still open to being convinced though…Hence, no “negativity”. If a difference of opinion is “negative” – so be it. Fine with that.

  7. Wow.

    August 24, 2016
  8. Well…Both of their mouths frown down. One is most likely depressed and the other is slack due to death. I guess there is some resemblance there.

    August 24, 2016
  9. See you later then. Of course. I will happily be right back when there is something of substance to research. You know it.

    With the utmost respect.

    • Substance can be found on Gordon’s blog … Tibor Kaldor is his baby, I’m mighty pleased to be trailing after him.

      August 24, 2016
  10. Um…The first guy ( the first pic of Kaldor) he looks almost completely BALD…the other guy, our guy – SM, he may have some recessive hair line chit going on but he has much more hair than the pic of Kaldor… Not to be negative or any such thing but they didn’t have regain back then and I’m wondering how this guy’s hairline could have taken such a dramatic turn?

  11. Misca, you posted on Ciphermysteries on 3 Sept 2014.

“For clarity regarding the brain tissue:

DA states “Cleland wanted to keep the Somerton Man’s skull. Not the brain tissue.” I’m not sure how this would even be accomplished but in G. Feltus’ book, page 84 (3rd paragraph)

    Feltus writes:

‘Professor Cleland had requested that a sample of the brain be obtained by Lawson…” Further on he writes “It was apparent to everyone present that Cleland was very displeased that his request for a sample had not been met.’

Misca, hi, I may be stating the obvious butwhat is interesting is the comparison of treatment of the two by essentially the same team, the fact that they were both in the morgue at the same time and possibly the strange remark about an ‘original body’. These are not bad raw materials to work with (given the absence of Dave’s grandmother). Not that I will do the work I am just a guilty bystander. BTW, Clive, I’ve got my eyas on you!

Robert, I’m still taking the tablets, any problems contact GC (007), I plead innocent of all charges.

  14. Misca, The work Clive, Byron and I are doing stems from an article that Clive found in the Adelaide press. It related to the finding of a man in his 40s who had been poisoned just two weeks after SM was found. When we tracked the man’s background we found that he was one of the ‘Dunera Boys’. I imagine that you would have already heard of them in your research. If not, they were internees from the UK and were shipped here in 1940 along with numbers of German and Italian POWs. They had a hell of a journey.

Whilst there were numerous religions amongst the internees, they were predominantly Jewish. Well educated, innovative and hardened to life as only the Jewish people could be in those days, they quickly adapted to their new surroundings.

It was decided that we would see what comparisons could be drawn between SM and Tibor’s backgrounds. The results are partially on-line on the blog and there is a lot more to come.

Pete’s post here is examining the possibility that earlier thoughts of there being two bodies may be true. I think he does a good job and I also think that you do a good job. Between us all we have a chance of getting SM named.

Happy to explain any aspect in more detail if you need to know more. Don’t take the tablets that Tibor took.

I am shaken by your comments but not stirred..

    Thanks for your input Robert!

Clive, do keep taking the pills as it’s getting a bit cosmic around here. Did you notice the time Gordon posted part 3? And I guess the first personalized number plate in the country, conveniently parked outside the Burns Vs Patrick fight, didn’t escape your notice either…

  17. Right now I’m thinking it’s a good time to back DA’s current exhumation appeal.

    August 25, 2016
  18. I think the good Professor needs to look at two exhumations unless one took place in the 70s/
Robert, purely accidental. trust me 🙂

    August 25, 2016
  19. Clive #

No, I didn’t notice the time, it’s the pills you see, If an exhumation went ahead, I’m pretty certain the SA government would have a lot of explaining to do-why else deny this request?

If there are doubts in relation to SM’s morgue photos why not contact Maceij Henneberg at Adelaide University and ask his views. In June / July 2010 he spent weeks studying those photos and the plaster cast to make comparisons to the I.D. photo I sent him. I was told by a ice chap at the S.A. Police Museum they helped lift the glass case for access to SM’s cast. On memory, he’d said Maceij took around 40 photos.
